 Foundation Course For Bdp-1st Year (english) |

Dear Sirs,
Can it pelase be clarified what is Foundation Course for BA 1st year ? I hope am not wrong in my perception because I applied for FHS-1 and FEG-1 as Foundation Courses and I got the Enrolment No. based on these subjects.
HOWEVER, I did not get THE study material for FHS-1 when I got the same for other subjects. I checked with students of my study center who, like me, too did not receive the study material for this subject.
I at a later date attempted to obtain it from the students registered at some other Regional Center and got the books copied. At the same time I check with IGNOU Website for this subject and downloaded the study material from there.
To my shock, the one copied from the students of other regional center the subject reads as BSHF-101. Now I am in a real mess as to what litereature should I study. I contacted the Regional center as well as my study center to issue me the books but both advised me to contact IGNOU-Delhi. For several mails/faxes to Delhi, there is no reply nor my books came.
Is there any way I can be helped ? I have no books nor assignment papers. I fear I may lose out one year because of not appearing for Foundation Course exam.
Please help me.

Lyd hi.i can advice u one thing which i m also going to do after consulting my regional centre -u will find a form in ur programme guide "non recipt of study materials and assignment" make a xerox fill in this form and send it to SR&E division, DELHI. u will find the address in the programme guide.best of luck.bye

Glad to inform that I got the books for the Foundation Course in April. Its been changed from FHS-01 to BSHF-101. As I informed, I had copied the books from some other student and studied it which came quite handy. I only waited till books' arrival to prepare the assignment.
IGNOU should have at-least put a notice on the website about the change of subject saving a lot of misery as those who could not copy the books like me may have to study the whole subject within a month to prepare the assignment.
IGNOU, please improve your service.

Well, At first I want to let you know that Ignou may have changed something between FHS or BSHF. However, You no need to worry so much about that because both are same subject, but if you think you are not still sure Or can not take a risk in fake believe so you could do one thing. Just go through Ignou online sours and get your desire study stuff. Whether it could be fhs or bshf. For example If you find FHS course over there So you just get one article copy from there and match with bshf stuff. As you wrote here your friends already had this stuff. But in the last I want to advise you to write an application for Delhi with register post. Because if you send through ordinary they might be replied you sooner.

Lyd Hai, I am also a first year BA student. There is no difference between FHS and BSHF. BSHF is just the revised book of FHS. As u r confused nw, I was too confused before. Because in the ignou's website the assignments for BSHF is given in name FHS only. So I was confused. But don't worry both are the same. With regards, Mushi.
