How To Make Ignou's Assignments Options

Hi folks m new in ignou.. just wanted to ask bout assignments to score gud marks.. as if i hav got 5qstns per asignments.. wat should b my word limit for each ans..?? can i write it in file pages or just copy???
help my experienced seniors..

Guideline already given in information booklet. However , I would like to share followings,

a) There is no limit for words. However , it should not be too short  too big. Appro 2 to 3 handwritten page is OK for essay type questions.

All type of paper is OK , but file paper / assignment papers available in markets give better presentation.

c) If possible read few books or search Internet for further reading. Give reference  of your additional materials , which you have included.

d) use figure , diagram , sketch etc for better presentation 

e) Wherever possible , provide real example  , case study of organization you are working or you know any one or read from Internet / book.

f) Underline important matter / points




This is not all points , but I could share few of them Hope , this will be useful.

i had referred the Artificial Intelligence standard text books to answer MS 7 but I got a D in assignment. Does that mean I have to stick to the IGNOU material and not refer outside?

Hello Ajeya.,


IGNOU Study Materials is more sufficient to score A Grade in assignments & TEE too.

You need to go through the Introductions in every topics.

Your self evaluate the most important blocks based on the PQP's & try to solve the Activities given.

Thereafter if you need to explore more in the subject, you can refer to other books available to you.

Note: Dont Copy the study materials Explanations to your assignments, retain the topic points/Headings and explain in your own words. definately you'll get A grade in assignments.
